Well today was the most challenging day of them all. Even though the route was relatively flat (600 feet of climbing in 20 miles), the wind spoiled the whole ride. The wind was from the SSE at 20-25 mph, the exact direction we were going. It took me 5.5 hours roughly to go 50 miles to lunch. Today reminded me of my first trip across the country when we had 30 mph cross winds a whole day in Oklahoma. Flat is good but it is also great to gather up the wind. Too bad it wasn't a tail wind! I was exhausted so the van took me to the hotel here in Minnehaha County South Dakota at the Holiday Inn in Sioux Falls SD. Since my room was not ready I walked about a mile to see the falls. When I came back the room was ready.

Sioux Falls -- not spectacular but pleasant and relaxing to watch |

Earlier in the day -- more of the same mile and mile after mile |

Luckily we didn't ride this road |

Two old buildings at once!

More of the same |

Tara the masseuse taking a picture of a turtle. Things get a little boring waiting for the riders to get snacks

Or we can view corn -- sometimes soybeans |

More Falls |
