WOW we enter another state --- Ohio. It was 77 degrees out when I left at about 7:40. The weather started sunny and about 10:30 turned cloudy with sprinkles - then back to sunshine. Winds were from the SW about 20-25 mph. I biked to lunch which was 57 miles. The ride included a great 10 mile flat bike path. Lunch was provided by Randy's Barbecue. After lunch I hopped in the van for 15 miles and then got out. At that point we were headed directly south -- so we had a cross wind of 20-25 mph. I did 10 miles in 50 minutes -- not good. Hopped back in the van for another 6 miles or so to cut out the cross wind. I got out when the route turned directly east so I would have a tail wind. During these last 40 miles there was some southerly parts but nothing major. Traffic was a little tense during the last 5 miles and getting into the Hampton Inn off the highway that connected with I75 was a hectic. By the way I could get on I-75 and stay on it till exit 131 in Fort Myers and then head to Captiva Island Florida!
I rode the first 57 miles to lunch which was just where the road starts to head directly south.
I rode in the van for about 15 miles south and then tried to bike south with a 20-25 mph cross
wind from the west. Did 10 miles back in the van for 5 or so and then where the road turns east I
biked the rest of the way. Inn all it was 97 miles out of the 120

hmmmm. Trump spelled out in junk. Is that person making a point? LOL In the snowman pic, is that a giant mailbox or just the perspective? If you continue on I75 you'll get there earlier than normal, and it all going south so isn't that considered downhill? :)
ReplyDeleteSo...how was Randy's Barbecue? You sure do take interesting pics Paul!
ReplyDeleteGetting close! Lol yeah what’s up with that mailbox.
